Airshare is a private aviation company that provides fractional ownership, aircraft management and charter services to its growing customer base. As part of their company rebranding, I was invited aboard to write the new company website as well as various sales collateral.

Okay, who hasn’t seen “A Christmas Story” by now? If not, please see yourself out. I’ll be honest, this “You’ll shoot your iPhone out, kid” subject line didn’t exactly put the powers-that-be in a giving mood over in the ol’ Sprint marketing tower. But y’know what? It generated the highest open rate out of all the holiday-themed options we tested, and it showed that sometimes you gotta come up with something truly unique if you wanna stand out.

Oh, that pesky UNSUBSCRIBE hyperlink. It’s as real as your very own over-cluttered inbox (seriously, fix that s***). And it’s definitely in play when you’re sending upgrade emails to the same customers every two weeks. I wanted to keep the message fresh, engaging and relevant, without the sappy sales schtick (cuz it rarely works). Here, a fun summer theme was on display, with the value prop flowing right in with it.
